I’m the girl who craves the healthy option. The one who finds joy in wandering the aisles of grocery stores, reading restaurant menus, and bonding over my favorite workouts with friends. I’m the girl who invests in fitness classes and personal development. The one who studies nutrition for fun. The one who spends a little extra on quality, nourishing foods. The one who goes to bed excited for tomorrow’s breakfast.

I’m the girl who would rather walk or take the stairs. The one who recycles just about everything. The one who enjoys nights in, staying sober and spending quality time with loved ones. I’m the girl who values my morning routine. Who wakes up earlier to squeeze that workout in. Who prioritizes my health and wellness.

my philosophy:

I believe that living a healthful life stems from being nourished, energized and fulfilled in body, mind and soul. Being “healthy” is flexible and unique to each person; it doesn’t have to be time-consuming, and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. For me, it’s an act of self-love. It’s the way I take care of myself because I honor my worth of the best health.

What we eat contributes to how much energy we have, how long we live, and how well we live. That’s why it’s so important to fuel our bodies with real, wholesome foods: lots of fruit and veggies, healthy fats, plant-based, unprocessed, lean protein, red meat in moderation. Eating well makes me feel good on the inside, and that shows on the outside! Food is delicious, fun, an experience, and made to sustain our lifestyles. Here’s to food that feels as good as it looks!

Remaining mindful and intentional, I listen to what my body responds to best. When I choose feel-good foods, movement that makes my soul sing, and gratitude daily, I can operate at my highest potential. Do what works for you and stay confident in your choices. Feeling great allows us to embrace all aspects of life! When we have our health, we can live the beautiful and fulfilling lives that we deserve.

Being immersed in some incredible health-focused foodie scenes while traveling and studying abroad in college inspired me to create my Instagram, @kaleitwithkendra, in February 2018. Since then, it has turned into my biggest creative outlet and passion project!
